The Atlantic Studies Initiative establishes LSU as a leader in an emerging scholarly paradigm integrating the study of environments, histories and cultures of the Atlantic realm. Situated at the intersection of Anglo, French and Hispanic colonial worlds, with strong Caribbean and African influences, LSU is well placed to make enormous contributions in this multidisciplinary regional study.
